IMPORTANT - Changes to Anti-Doping Policy effective 1st January 2009

Our Anti-Doping Policy has been revised to comply with changes to the
World Anti-Doping Code that become effective on 1st January 2009.

AUSRAPID recommends all athletes contact their NSO to find out how the changes will impact on them.

Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority - ASADA

As of 14 March 2006, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) officially became the Australian Government's new focal point for the fight against drugs in sport. ASADA will be responsible for the roles of "sample collection, education, investigation, presentation of case hearings, sanction recommendations and development, approval and monitoring of each National Sporting Organisations' anti-doping policy."

ASADA provides a HOTLINE service 1800 020 506 (9am - 5pm AEST) for information on the status of substances in sport (i.e they will be able to tell you whether the medication or drugs you are taking are on the prohibited list)

Anti-Doping policy.
